Easter Beach Vacation

Easter may be a religious holiday, but the beach is definitely not the most fitting place to spend it. Do you want to know why? When my family realized that spring break was only about two and a half weeks away, we knew what we were doing over our break. My wife and I had decided to continue staying with our usual winter vacation spot. Our son, who just graduated from college, wasn’t going to be in town for Easter weekend this year, so we decided to take advantage of the opportunity to travel somewhere new. We started looking at destinations that were warm and had ocean access.

Having a beach vacation at this time of year is going to be very pleasant and enjoyable for you. At first it was difficult for you to take your mind off of your daily routines and get to do something that you always wanted to do. But now, as you are traveling on the enchanting beaches of Orlando, Florida, it’s easy to remember why this is exactly what you needed to release the stress away.

If you’re looking to escape on a family-friendly trip this Easter, then look no further than these 10 locales that will ensure that your whole family is entertained and that you leave with some special memories.

There’s no better time to visit the happiest place on Earth than Easter weekend — which is a peak holiday for the locale. Wow your family with the added magic of holiday-themed parades, arts and crafts, and Easter egg hunts. Bonus: in addition to the pantheon of Disney characters that can be found on the grounds, there’s also the opportunity to have a meet-and-greet with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny.

Boca Raton, Florida

Club and stay for the majorly kid-friendly Easter weekend festivities, which include a Mad Hatter’s Silly Spring Party that comes complete with a bouncey castle, sack races, face painters — the works. But on Sunday the resort also provides a sunrise service and an easter egg hunt that features over 10,000 eggs filled with toys and candy, hidden on the sprawling golf course.

Activities during the weekend include scheduled dance parties, puppet shows, photo-ops with the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt, of course. But the options for adults are equally amazing, including special wine tastings, art exhibits, trunk shows and cooking demonstrations — even an Easter Egg Hunt just for the grown-ups.
