Egypt has a special location in the world’s map, making it the perfect destination all year round, and with winter closing in, people just need to get away from the cold weather, so we got you the perfect next steps in your travelling itinerary that you should plan to visit as soon as possible.

1- Fayoum

One of the oldest cities in Egypt, it stood the test of time due to its location, and great weather, making it a winter destination to this day.

Famous for its beautiful, and picturesque natural wonders, it has many trails, and protectorates including the “Valley of the Whales”, the “Petrified Forest”, and the iconic “Tunis Village”.

2- Luxor & Aswan

These two are no brainer locales, being in one of the most southern locations in Egypt, full of culture and beauty there is a multitude of things to do there, ranging from just drinking tea while on the Nile while watching the sun rise or set, or going to one of the many temples for more of a historical vacation.

3- Hurghada

If you want to go for a swim, but feel that it’s too cold in Cairo, fret not, Egypt has a wide selection of areas where you can still take a dip into the sea, and enjoy the weather, one of those places is Hurghada.

There are a wide selection of hotels, which will offer front row seats to the Red Sea, something that you can do in the morning, then head on over to the Marina at night for some entertainment, or even dance the night away.

4- Sharm El-Sheikh

Hurghada’s biggest contender on the list, it has the same great weather, Red Sea clear waters, and amazing clubs, but Sharm El-Sheikh, has an ace up its sleeve.

Sharm is very close to one of the best diving hotspots in the world, yes, the WORLD, and that hotspot is Dahab, making it an international hub for divers, and marine live enthusiast from around the globe.

5- Marsa Alam

It has the best of both Sharm, and Hurghada, due to it being south of the latter, making the weather even hotter, while at the same time having some of the most beautiful diving spots in the area, filled with beautiful lagoons, and blue waters, it’s no wonder why tourists have made it the first choice, year after year.

6- Marsa Nayzak

How many people do you know can say that they swam in a water pool made by a comet? You can though, as 14 kilos just north of Marsa Alam is Marsa Nayzak which has a natural water pool made from what is suspected to be a fallen comet.

The water is clear, turquoise, and absolutely stunning, making it a hidden beautiful gem, in the South Eastern part of Egypt.

“Alam Simsim” Elmo Is Now Vaccinated Against Covid-19, So What Is Stopping You

Everyone’s favorite red Muppet, Elmo has received the Covid-19 vaccine.

The beloved three-and-a-half years old red muppet has recently become eligible for the vaccine according to Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind “Sesame Street”, as the vaccine is now approved for children who are five years old and under.

In a public service announcement released by “Sesame,” Elmo’s dad Louie shared his questions about the Covid-19 vaccine for children under five.

“Was it safe? Was it the right decision? I talked to our pediatrician so I could make the right choice,” Louie said in the PSA. “I learned that Elmo getting vaccinated is the best way to keep himself, our friends, neighbors and everyone else healthy and enjoying the things they love.”

https://www.youtube.com/embed/bwimt9n2JEkElmo’s shot comes after other “Sesame Street” characters have also gotten COVID vaccines. In November, six years old Big Bird got vaccinated and was also featured in a PSA at the time.

Covid-19 vaccines are now available for children under five, and parents may have some questions, said Jeanette Betancourt, senior vice president of US social impact at Sesame Workshop.

Betancourt spoke to CNN about the purpose behind Elmo’s PSA, saying “We hope that Louie and Elmo will inspire parents and caregivers across the country to speak with their healthcare providers and seek out information to learn about how the COVID-19 vaccines can keep young children and their families healthy.”

Even though these vaccines are approved for children, some parents are unwilling to vaccinate their children right away. Around 38% of parents of children under 5 said they would “wait and see” before vaccinating their young children, according to an April Kaiser Family Foundation Vaccine Monitor survey. While 18% of parents said they would vaccinate their child for Covid-19 as soon as a vaccine was available.

As of the 22nd of June, nearly 30% of children ages 5 to 11 and nearly 60% of children ages 12 to 17 were fully vaccinated for Covid-19, according to the CDC.

“Nearly 5.7 million child cases of COVID-19 have been reported nationally in 2022 alone, making vaccination an important step to protecting both kids and their families against the highly contagious virus and its variants,” a press release from the Ad Council and Sesame Workshop said.

Sesame Workshop collaborated on the Elmo PSA with the Ad Council and COVID Collaborative’s COVID-19 Vaccine Education Initiative. The movement encourages parents and caregivers to get informed about the COVID-19 vaccines following the announcement of the vaccines for children ages 6 months and older.
