Skilled Worker visa is a category of Federal Skilled Worker class of visa. It applies to applicants who possess either post-secondary education, job experience or a combination of the two. This visa has replaced Federal skilled worker program and Q1 and Q2 visas. These candidates are granted with Canadian permanent residency status. Unlike two other categories, applicants can request for open work permits right at the time of application.
